Mher Stepanyan, a fine art docent and lecturer, is a contemporary Armenian painter whose work bridges classical tradition and modern symbolism. Deeply influenced by Renaissance masters, European classical heritage, and Armenian miniature painting, his compositions often explore themes of cultural memory, identity, and the human shape through expressive forms, symbolic figures, and rich colour harmonies. With a career spanning over half a century, reflecting both personal evolution and national identity, Stepanyan’s visual language blends precision and emotion, realism and allegory.
